Folks, my health and my time are not going to allow me to go to our condo in Sapphire Valley, North Carolina this year.


We usually have our family up for a reunion there every year. But, just not possible this time.

Sapphire Valley is a gorgeous vacation spot with all kinds of things to do in a secluded mountain valley that connects 4 states. We don't have it rented for the best week of the year.......the week of JULY 4TH.

We have a double condo, if you want to take a big family, or friends or have a reunion.

Or, I can rent each condo separately. Both condos join one another and will sleep up to 8 people, and is very spacious. Fully equipped with everything you need. No need to bring anything from home except personal items. Just buy groceries and detergent and move right in for a whole week. Friday to Friday.

If rented separately, both condos are fully equiped.


Double Condo Rent = $950 for ENTIRE week
Single Condo Rent = $425 for ENTIRE week

You won't find any of the other condos there renting for this figure!!!!! Especially, during the July 4th week.

When we can't go, we usually have our Fairway Forest Home Owners Association rent it for us. You cannot rent a condo there for less than $1,200 per unit per week; and a double like this would cost $2,400. However, this year I didn't give them enough advance notice to put it up for rent. Therefore, since I am having to handle the rental myself, I can rent it for less.

Both Condo's are side by side and overlook the continental divide watershed from the back balconies. The front overlooks one of the golf courses. One condo is equiped with a spa. (First place I usually head; that is, if I can beat my son there.)

Plenty of relaxing enjoyment. Plenty of activities for everyone in the family to enjoy. Several lakes, several golf courses. Swimming, fishing, biking, hiking, boating, paddleboats, canoes, swimming pools, ski slope, horseback riding, gold panning or pan for jewels.

Security patrols the area 24/7.


Chain grocery located 3 miles from condos. Convenience store on site. Wonderful, reasonably priced dining at MICAH'S RESTAURANT, on site. Singer usually there. Within 50 miles of Asheville, North Carolina... home of the BILTMORE HOUSE. Great day's activity well worth the effort.

Within driving distance to many points of interest for a day's activities. The Smokies, Blowing Rock, Cherokee Reservation, Maggie Valley. Check it out on the map. The fourth most sought after place to retire.
There are scheduled activities for onsite visitors planned for the week. You may take advantage of these, if you like. Some great Bar-B-Ques on Bald Lake.

You will receive a list of the activities for the week upon arrival. This makes planning your vacation a lot easier when you don't already have it all laid out.

It's wonderful to wake of the mornings in the "treetops" and visit with the squirrels that come to "set a spell" while you have coffee on the balcony.

At night, before we go to bed, we all go out on the back balconies and call out to Mount Toxaway, "good night, John Boy".....lol..... we have a lot of "John's" in the family with us.

"KOCR" caught up with "JETT WILLIAMS" and "DON HELMS" on tour in the northern states. They have been added to our guest roster and will be joining the broadcast "LIVE" from that evening's venue. (Jett is the daughter of the late Hank Williams, and "Uncle Don," as Jett calls him, is the only member of Hank Williams's Driftin' Cowboys still performing the circuit. Jett and Don both have out new albums that no Country enthusiast will want to miss.
